About Us: Health Conservation Consultants

Health Conservation Consultants, along with our sister companies, Acoustic Solutions, Western Noise Control, and Industrial Noise Control have been providing quality noise pollution solutions since 1974 when Izzy Gliener founded the companies with a vision of “protecting people” from ever-increasing noise pollution levels in our growing communities. Since then we have become a leader in industrial audiometric hearing testing and noise surveying with the ability to provide both hearing protection and noise containment and control solutions.

  • 2015 was a milestone year where Izzy Gliener semi-retired and handed his vision and mission to provide noise control solutions and prevent noise induced hearing loss to the Engineered Controls Group whose ownership team has Izzy’s same vision and values.  The Engineered Controls Group is the parent company of Engineered Containment Inc. which also focuses on pollution control but instead of noise control, it focuses on preventing land and water pollution by supplying and/or installing geomembrane liner containment systems for hazardous fluids and solids.

  • In 2016, Health and Hearing Conservation Consultants acquired Salotex Occupational Health who provided an immediate national network of occupational health testing services such as drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical assessments. This acquisition positioned the company as a leading provider of occupational health services in Canada.

  • In 2017, Health and Hearing Conservation Consultants relocated to our new facility along with our sister companies, Engineered Containment and Acoustic Solutions / Western Noise Control.  The new facility is located at 15108 – 118 Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta and is only a 10 minute drive west from the location we have held since 1974.

  • In 2017, Health and Hearing Conservation Consultants officially changed our name to Health Conservation Consultants Inc. to reflect our focus.  We will continue to offer noise conservation and hearing services, but see the name change as an accurate reflection of our other occupational health testing services.
